Compare microfiber towel quotations only after every supplier is answering the same written specification. Align dimensions, target GSM, declared fiber blend, weave, pile, edge, color, tolerance and pack count first. Then compare evidence, samples and commercial terms separately. A lower unit price is not comparable when the construction, packaging basis or quoted trade term is different.
1. Lock the comparison specification
Send one controlled RFQ instead of asking each supplier to recommend a different product. Record every exception in the quotation rather than allowing an unmarked substitution.
- Finished length and width, including the permitted tolerance
- Target GSM and the tolerance the supplier is prepared to quote
- Declared polyester/polyamide blend and the evidence available for it
- Weave, pile on each face, edge construction, color and pack count
2. Separate declarations from verified results
A catalog statement, a supplier declaration and a test result are different evidence levels. Record which one supports each field. A report is useful only when its tested model, test method, date and result can be linked to the product being quoted.
3. Normalize the commercial basis
Compare product price, packaging cost, sample charge, tooling or artwork cost and freight as separate lines. Keep EXW, FOB and delivered quotations in separate columns. Request MOQ by SKU, color and packaging configuration because these constraints may not be the same.
4. Use staged approvals
Approve the written specification before the sample, and approve the product sample before packaging and shipment criteria. This prevents a visually acceptable sample from silently replacing the written requirement.
Method and claim boundary
This guide describes SPECVANTA's RFQ and quality-control method. Product specification, price, MOQ, sample terms, certification scope and delivery time for an order are confirmed only in the applicable SPECVANTA quotation and approved documents.
Review the quality and evidence processCommon questions
Is GSM enough to compare two microfiber towels?
No. GSM describes mass per unit area, but it does not by itself define weave, pile, edge, dimensions, blend, tolerance or performance. Those fields must be compared separately.
Does a supplier certificate prove the quoted towel specification?
Only when the document identifies the relevant tested product or model, test method, date and result. If that link is missing, record it as supporting information rather than verified proof for the quoted item.
How should MOQ be requested?
Ask for MOQ by product SKU, color, logo method and packaging format. Do not assume one MOQ applies to every customization layer.
